Fear vs Courage

Drew this for the HobbitCon4 Fanbook Project organized on tumblr (->nelioe.tumblr.com/post/1318325…)
 
The themes to choose from for Ori where 'fear' and 'courage' and I choose to combine those two for my picture.
Ori is facing those mirkwood spiders here bravely in spite of his fear that clearly shows on his face (I hope). Maybe he is even trying to lure a few of them away from the rest of the company.
My original idea was to put Dori and Nori in there as well, and Ori standing protectively in front of them but I changed plans as I realized how much work this alone would be. This took me 5-6days to finish and I just wanted it to be complete to be honest.

I really hope the one spider in front of Ori is recognizeable, I've never drawn such a perspective. ^^'
